I have 2, a lot of flexibility and rock solid, you could tow the boat with one

Love mine, rock solid, lots adjustment options and you can buy replacement parts to change the support arm if you want to raise your HDS12 higher off the deck.

I'm in the same boat. I really like mine. Highly customizable. I have mine in a stacked configuration vs. side by side. 2 large units. The boat moves more then the mount does!

BEAST MODE. Thing will rip out of your console before it flexes, one of the strongest arm mounts you can buy.

On the flip side, because it uses ball and detents to keep from shifting you don't have infinite settings. It has to click into one of the detents which is like every 3-5 degrees. But well worth the tradeoff for your graph not moving a single bit at all.

    I love mine.

I have one on the bow of the boat mounted to a Garmin 106sv that I use for livescope. I have the 12” arm that I extend all the way vertical while fishing, and then when moving I rotate it down to the floor to keep it from bouncing and out of my view. Works great.

I looked at it and thought it was too simple in design to buy so I built one similar of my own design with material readily available…. Mine isn’t all that sturdy…. That being said, I’ll be buying one..

I have the balzout on the bow of my boat with 2 garmin graphs. They dont take up the entire bow like some and they are awesome. Tighten those suckers down and they wont move.

I also fabricated my own version, without access to a mill at the time. Not as pretty as OEM, but they are a rock solid design with the ball detents!

This can be overcome by making a "washer" with staggered ball detents on both sides, and sandwiching it between two of the arms. Personally haven't had the need to do so, since the unit gimbal mount can be finitely adjusted to achieve a desirable screen viewing angle.
