Swapping to torsion axles?

I just bought an older boat with an aluminum McClain trailer, and the axles and leaf springs need to be replaced. I'm wanting to swap to torsion axles, but McClain wants $1600 plus shipping for a set. Has anyone done this? Surely there's a cheaper route.

What size (length and load rating) are the axles? How many axles?

2 3500lb axles. 83" frame rails.

Im not seeing anything to match perfectly at 83” but looks like they offered you a very fair price.

Make sure you get the shipping costs. That may cost as much as one axle

Might try a local trailer shop, maybe cheaper if you include shipping.
