I'm thinking about putting a Ghost trolling motor on my 2013 721Pro XP. Is the 47" shaft the best length? I don't fish any big water like the Great Lakes or anything. Just rivers and lakes around Virginia. Thanks.

I opted for the longer 52 on my 2014 721 only for rough water. I retrospect I wished I had gone with a 45". The 47 will work fine for you.
