Here in AL, there was an Army helicopter training out of Ft Rucker that crashed in Pike County 2 weeks ago. The 2 on board received minor injuries so it didn't make the national news that I know of.
A tragic loss of life of those three that were defending our country. May they rest in peace.
I always have been a fixed wing guy. I rode on a copter once. From what I understand, there are a lot of things that can cause one to crash. Mechanical issues are a death knell, if one has engine failure they barely glide, they can only autototate, everything has to work perfectly, and you don't much choose where you land, you get one shot.
Once is enough for me.
RIP Warriors.
There seems to be an awful lot of them in the news lately.
The military is a place where training can be just as dangerous as combat.
Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day
Teach a man to fish, he will complain that you stole his fishing spot.
For their families. RIP Men.
