I always hear the term “yeah that job pays good money” but it’s always different. Got me thinking…What’s the nominal value you put on “good money”

150 to 200K then I retired
100k is not comfortable these days.
I just figure that I need to maintain the life that My Wife and I built. Pretty good life but we're trying to be more frugal.
If you wanna put a number on it 200-270k would be comfortable.

Really need 100k plus if you have kids to be "comfortable" to me. Depends on what part of the country too I guess .
Around here 60-70K a year is good money. Around Chicago, most of the New England States, Florida, and Texas over 100K, California 150K at least. All depends on location.
What's good for where I live might not be good for where you live.
It varies over 100% depending on your cost of living. I had a boss that moved from St.Charles, MO to San Francisco with a good job- and he basically barely made ends meet as a single guy-I think he ended up living on a boat.
I'm disagreeing with some of the numbers being thrown around, but to each his own and may be regional to. We have had a extremely comfortable lifestyle around 175-190K annually. Married, two kids and paying for college.

Around here, a good paying job is anything over 75k. To live without much worry, I’d say household income of 150k.
Combined me and my wife just broke 100k, we live within our means but sure isn’t comfortable

Such a subjective topic.
Someone making $250k would say $500k… and someone making $500k would say $1m.
I know someone, whose base is $5.7m… stocks and bonuses literally puts him around $15m a year. His wife that went full Florida, plasticized…. Cheated on him. Divorced etc etc, lost full custody of his kids - he’s miserable.
Theres an older single dude down the dirt road from me, single, drives a 90’s tacoma with his collie on the front seat. He tells
me its SS only, plus what small farm income he has from his small 20acre field he inherited. That dude seems super happy.
Good money is what helps you find happiness. Happiness has different price tags for different people.
However, one of my favorite lines. Money cant buy happiness, but it can buy a jet ski. Have you ever seen an unhappy person on a jet ski?
