I’ve purchased a few of these used from Japan on eBay and I absolutely love them. I’m aware of the noisy gear issue that some seem to have, but I’m 5 for 5 on not having it. I’ll watch eBay and pick one up now and then in the $129-139 range. Anyone done the Curado brass gear replacement? Worth it?

i will bump your thread if nothing else. I have not done the brass gear. I use braided line mostly and t-rig fish with these reels mostly. I'm not seeing any issues. Where I prefer the brass is in my cranking, spinnerbait, and buzzbait reels. The frame on these reels makes them the real deal imo for bottom bouncing so I use them for that on NRX rods
