    Finnese Jerk bait input question

What are some favorites for a smaller profile hard jerk baits about 3-4 " long. Looking for something that can be cast on a bait caster with 12 line. I have and old Lucky Craft that has worked but can't read which one it is anymore. Open to Japanese market if necessary. Thanks

I bet if you post a picture of that bait. Someone will know what it is.

12 lb line is a little heavy for smaller baits but the LC Pointer 78&DD, MB 110 Jr & 110+1 Jr and Nanahan & Nanahan +1 are great smaller jerks that can be thrown on baitcast gear easily.

When I think of finesse jerkbait I think of the 3 inch x-nanahan by megabass. Other than that, the 110 jr is money. 12 lb test is way too much in my opinion. 8lb-10lb test line is more like it.

Last year I played around with the T.D. Minnow from Daiwa. Used them years ago but for some reason hadn’t recently. Forgot how great they work.

Agreed. I typically fish these baits on 8lb or 10lb fluorocarbon, a 70 or 100 sized casting reel, and a medium light power (F3 or F3.5) rod with a moderate fast (regular fast) action.

I think what I have is the Lucky Craft B'Freeze , the Pointer 78 looks just like it so gonna try it and also pick up something from the other suggestions. I will drop down in line to 10# flouro. Thanks

I throw LC Pointer 78, MB 110 Jr, 110+1 Jr, Jackall DD Squirrel, and X-Rap 04 on casting rods. I use 8lb flouro, a med light casting rod, and a small casting reel.

Hundred percent agree. A mostly overlooked JB that flat out catches fish. These out fish my jr+1 by a wide margin when I need to go deeper than a normal 110.
