looking for ideas on rod size, action and tip for throwing cull shad 6"

You can get by with a 7’0-7’5 MH rod. They aren’t too cumbersome on the cast or retrieve. That being said, I throw mine on a 7’4 poison adrena heavy/moderate. It’s a more parabolic rod with some power.
