Was reffering to other post about BASS telling anglers it was a rules violation to use them with a line in the water.

Agreed, but I don't know what they have in place if anything considering the front trolling motor.

I think BASS effectively did a soft ban on them by not allowing use while a lure is in the water. I can't see guys dealing with the extra junk for such a narrow use now

Used to use 2 at same time on Erie. Don't even have 1 in boat any more since 112 lb trollmotors came out.

I know I saw one set at fork , but I only watched a few minutes. It was in the air, not in. Use

Some of the pros have them cause I saw where some wear broke off on Fork. I would like to have them for when I Crappie fish!

You certainly are if your line is in the water. It was announced at Toledo Bend meeting.

    It's edit, not exit.

Fished out of Jeff Smith’s (Crappie Magnet Owner) last year and he had them. Was a pretty neat deal. As long as we set up right in the wind, we could spot schools of crappie on FFS and keep them at a good distance away while not spoiling the school with the trolling motor.

I don't see how they can be banned without further explanation, I could see tournament organizations limiting boats to one TM. But it doesn't make sense to me, they are basically deep water poles.

If they get banned then somebody will come up with deep water poles.
