    Caymas CX 21 Questions

Just completing break in on my 2023 CX21 pro. Boat is equipped with Mercury 250 4 stroke on a 10" manual z lock jack plate, 24p fury 3 blade, 2 (8' blades), and 4 agm (1 cranking, 3 trolling motor). WOT is around 5850, and while running the boat will only trim to 5.5 on the gage, while idle it will go higher. Will raising the motor allow more rpms, and do the trim numbers seem right? Seen 74mph during break in with not much stuff in the boat, once I loaded my normal tackle and such, boat is still turning the ~5850 rpm on the digital gage and right under 73. Just looking if this sounds right. Love way the boat rides, and fishes just looking to squeeze a little more out of it. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you got it dialed in. I wouldn’t try changing anything.

Agree. Leave it alone. Those are good numbers. And I believe my trim tops out at 5.5 when running. It is normal for ur trim to go higher when just idling around.

Your numbers are way better than mine. I wouldn't mess with it!

What is your prop to pad measurement?

Definitely good top end numbers but there's still some RPM there for you to take advantage of. Fill up the wells and put your fat cousin along with all your gear in the boat and see how the holeshot does. You may need to look at a 23 pitch especially for hot weather.
