    Anyone Near Pickwick? Need Help!

I was wondering if anyone is in the Pickwick Lake area? I am in need of some help. I'm not looking for spots. I bought my first glass boat and I feel that I am in way over my head.

I'm in a new world with this 521R. Everything involved just has my head spinning. Much different than the 17 ft aluminum Triton I had with a 25 horse. It doesn't help that I moved out of my area so any of my friends with big boats are 6 hours away. My uncle has a Ranger but add 2 more hours to that trip.

I feel you. Went from a 17 ft Lowe aluminum to a 195 Falcon 3 years ago. Took me a while to learn to drive it. A 70 mph boat is a lot different than a 25 mph one.

Where about on Pickwick are you? It's 50 miles long and 43,000 acres.

You buy new or used? Dealer or previous owner give you a walk through? Lots of smart guys, not just us smartazz's, on this board that would be willing to get on the phone with you to discuss.

The dealer did give me a walk through. But over a week later when I was able to get out. I think I would like someone to go with me for a couple hours and get me going in the right direction.

Road trip to GA, I'll take you out on Lanier. Get the engine broken in and some driving tips.
