What length shaft for trolling motor 45" or 52"?

Just not sure how these boats sit in the water and if the 45" is long enough?

I have a 45” on a 201d, and it does fine. I will say, if I had to do it again, I’d go with a 52”. There are times that my livescope comes out of the water if I’m offshore and in some bigger waves.

I can tell you that up at St Larry when it get bumpy or during the times ships go by the 52" keeps your power head in the water vs the 45" which would pop out. I am sure that if you are running a livescope or a mega 360 you are going to want that longer shaft in the rough.

You will be glad if you buy the 52" one.

Well I actually found a new ultrex 112 60” for under $2,000 so I bought it and will just cut the shaft to 52” and be done.
