Thinking About Buying Boat EFX Steps

At age 74 coming up in a few months I got to thinking my old method of boarding the boat at the ramp by jumping from the tailgate to the bow my be getting a little too risky. I'm still able to do it but think maybe a little safer system might be in order.

I have shopped around online for Trick Steps and Boat EFX and settled on the EFX because of the Booma Step that they have. I'll skip the fancy graphics on the steps. I am wondering if the curved handle is worth the extra $30 or not?

I have a '06 Nitro 591, which is not on their list but assume that a step for a later model Z-7 or 8 will work. The 591 was a pretty good selling boat for several years so I'm sure they have something that will work. I'll call them later today and get the specifics.

How do you guys like your's ?

I have tricksteps welded to the trailer from factory when I ordered the boat, BUT I am going to add a BoomaStep.

YOU WILL LOVE EITHER ONE OF THE STEPS!

The $400 Humminbird rebate is taking care of a big part of this purchase.

Just installed them on my new boat. I didn’t get the curved handle, didn’t see a need for it. The regular handle works just fine, close enough to grab going in or out.

I have the EFX steps and Booma step on my 2018 Triton TRX 19. Started with straight handle and upgraded to curved handle on steps last year. IMO the curved handle is easier when getting out of the boat.

I have the EFX steps on my Phoenix with the standard straight handle. It works great.

I got it ordered. I spoke with a very nice young lady who answered all my questions. Really excited to get it.

    I appreciate all the advice.

Got mine last year and would highly recommend the curved handle. Seems to be a well made product.

One of the things I'm looking forward to is moving my second Helix 10 over to the right of my TM pedal. I've always kept that space open so I could make the jump from truck to bow. This made the management of the troller cable even more of a PIA. With the steps, I hopefully with be able to use that space.
