Inner Bearing Grease Seal 1990 Ranger Trailer

I have the correct grease seal from Ranger. When I go to install the grease seal i tap it in flush to the hub like i have with past trailers and I can litetally pull it out by hand. Anyone ever seen this? Do I need a new hub? Do I need to seat the seal down further into the hub?

What is the OD of your new seal, on the common stuff they changed from 2.33" to 2.56" if the hub has been replaced it would take the larger od seal. Did the old seal just fall out or did you have to pry it?

It's weird once it is tapped into the hub it is loose inside and can move freely but can't be taken out of the hub itself without prying. It comes out about 1/4 inch of the hub and gets stopped.
