    VX20 prop question

I'm fixing to pull the trigger on a new Vx20
I live in Tx and was wondering what props everyone is running. The boat has a 23p furry on it and I'm willing to bet that's the best prop for the boat but i'd like to know if anyone has tried 4 blade props like a furry 4 and brovo.

    Fantastic looking VX20 sir!

I have a 23p Fury on mine and it's been a great propeller. I haven't tried any 4 blade props but on my OG 2001 Ranger with the Mercury 250XB, the 25p Trophy did wonders for the hole shot. Perhaps some other VX20 owners who have tried 4 blade propellers will hop on and share their experience as I am looking for a second propeller as a spare myself.

bravo1 or marks clone are both great props on bass boats--will do everything great but will loose 2-3 mph likely but worth it

VX21 here, Merc 250, have a 23p 4 blade Trophy Plus, same top speed of 70mph as the Fury 23p 3 blade but handles much better and hole shot is great. Also have a 25p 5 blade High Five that I like even better. Top speed is only 68 but handles even better than the Trophy and there is no hole shot, just gets on plane with very little bow rise and while on plane it will fly the bow at any speed. Boat is very easy to control with the 5 blade.

Wow! Thank you for this reply, I somehow forgot the 5 blade High Five existed after not having to worry about trying out new props since 2001. I will have to try it if only to get a faster hole shot when all the fishing tackle is loaded in my VX20.

The 23 Fury 4 blade will help with the hole shot. A friend has a VX21 and he runs the 4 fury. He has had problems with them throwing blades though. I have a VX20 and the 23 Fury 3 blade works awesome!
