    2005 Triton Trick Step Question

I have a 2005 21X and it has the swing tongue trailer. I keep the boat inside my garage and I have to swing the tongue to make it fit. Has anyone installed trick steps or others on this type trailer? I am concerned that I wont be able to swing the tongue all the way without hitting the steps. Has anyone installed these steps on their trailer?

Yes. I angle my boat a little more than before but I can still swing the tongue a good ways.

Can you swap the bolt and pin and swing your tongue the other way?

My trailer has the pin that goes through he middle of the tongue. I can only swing it to the starboard side of the boat. In fact, I swing it all the way to the side to allow more clearance to enter and leave the garage. Maybe two step version would work better with the lowest step above where the tongue swings in.

Omega steps maybe. They have a 2 step version and an extra step to out on the tongue.

Amazon has 2 step for $230…..extra step is $59 on omega website.

I just installed those on my boat... so far they are working great. I did swap the bolt for the swing away tongue to the other side so it works great.

Will be checking out my options. Omega may be the answer.

Trick step offers a removable bottom step.

Or maybe get a different swing away fixture that gives you the option to swing the tongue the other way. You just flip it upside down.

I have Trick Steps installed on my 23 Triton and they look exactly like this. I have a 24' garage and I have room to spare. I don't have to fold my tongue but I do.
