Are NMEA 2000 connections weather resistant

I believe they are IP7 but I'm having some trouble verifying that. I'm thinking about mounting a 24xd in such a manner that the underside NMEA connection on the antenna would not be protected from the weather. It would be shielded from the rain but open to the air from below.

Should be good with some silicone grease on them. I use silicone grease on every connection in the boat.

I run mine in the open air on the front of my boat and never had an issue. Also the Garmin cables have a rubber gasket on each end of the cable so you good
