    2016 z18 jackplate install question

Went to install a manual jackplate on a 16 z18 today and the engineers at white river decided to install the boat tiedown loops way too close to the engine. Has anyone ran into this? If so what was your fix? I figured it would be to remove from boat and install tiedowns on jackplate but that’s not possible on this plate because the 2 pieces need to move since it’s a manual z lock. Also thought about just getting sandwich brackets for the raptors but I am pretty sure they won’t even clear the tiedowns. Not looking to do major Fiberglass repair to move them also. Thanks for your input.

Update….evidently this is common for them. I removed the tiedowns and used 5200 to fill holes. Cant see them once plate is on. Smoothed out inside boat and mounted tiedowns on plate. Fine now.

I did the exact same. Filled with 5200 and put the tie downs on the plate. Easy and works great.

Same thing my dealer had to do back in 2016 when I put an Atlas on my Z18. Just put the transom tie downs on the jack plate. Only pic I could find of it from back then.
