    Paper coffee filters

I am convinced that companies that mfg. paper coffee filters, intentionally make them impossible to separate so we will have to use several each making and buy more often.

If that's the foremost problem in your life, you've got it made. Do you also have trouble getting the first paper towel off the roll?

Several years ago we switched to the "gold" permanent filters for our maker. We now have 9 of them. At night when I make the coffee and set the auto timer, I dump the old grounds in the trash can and place the dirty filter in a dedicated mini trash can under the sink. Once a week we rinse the dried coffee grounds out of the filters and start over. No more paper filter mess or spillage

Paper filters are so 1970. Reusable only for me. Coffee tastes a lot better as well.

Never had a problem with the un bleached filters sticking together. Plus, they’re compostable like the coffee grounds.
And, I agree with Sandman. Reusable mesh filters make much better coffee and last for years and years with some care. Buy the gold filters if available.

If your coffee maker uses the cone shaped filters use these.... Melitta Coffee filters. They come in a box and they DO NOT stick together.

Take the whole new stack and fold them inside out. They still have the basic shape and separate really easy.

Cone filters aren't stacked anything like the basket styles, are they? There's no way they CAN stick together unless you spill something on the stack

No they are laying flat on top of one another. The basket type filters can be a pain in the arse.

On the list of things that piss me off, coffee filters pretty far down the list. Somewhere between rinsing out the milk jug before I put it in the recycle can and wiping off the dipstick to check the oil on my truck.
