By all accounts that is an extremely comfortable boat in all respects, but not a particularly fast one. Expect 67-68 mph loaded, but as always, there are exceptions and variables. Rides like a Cadillac.

I have a 2018 model with a two stroke. Rides great. 67-68 is my top speed. You will love the extra space.

That’s my rig with a Merc 250 Pro XS. Best/smoothest/driest ride I’ve owned. Stays on plane even at lower speeds. If you’re looking for 70+ consistently, it’s not the boat for you. Mid 60s is realistic. I get upper 60s sometimes in ideal conditions but frankly don’t often push it to the limit. Just not realistic on the bodies of water I typically fish. A couple of things to consider. The cockpit area is oversized compared to c boats. The seats are bigger, but I need the seat all the forward to have good command of the hotfoot. I’m 5’9” but I’ve heard that taller guys still need the seat forward. Because of the added cockpit space, the back deck is shorter. If you fish with a partner often you might want to consider this. It’s still fishable, just not as much room as a c. Good luck!

have a 2019 520L merc 4s. I got it last year. I was nervous replacing my 03 521vx. I now have zero regrets. I agree with dkinney. Ride is so smooth and dry. It handles like a sportscar compared to my 521vx. I get 71mph on mine. I have it loaded to the gills with tackle. 3 50ah ionic and a 31agm for batteries. It's a very comfortable boat. Great to fish out of. My only complaint so far is the seats. they have a little wobble to them and the hardware loves to come loose. I put loktite on the track hardware and heavier duty bolts that mount the seat to the boat. Maybe your 518 had the same seats.
