BLUF: Only run as fast as you safely can. Same as guys who run wide open through fog. Sure, GPS may keep you from running aground. But, it won't tell you if there's a boat, barge, or even a floating boat dock that has come loose.

    Safety first.

I like the idea of raising the seat. I’m running a Ranger 520C and wouldn’t mind to be a little higher.

That Elite 5 on my bow doesn't take up much space.

Got a Garmin 9 and 10 on a deck it mount, along with an Ultrex on the front of my Triton and I don't have any problems seeing over it.

Since I'm short I had to make my own mount at the console for my 12" graph......got to be able to see where you are going!

That's why I only run a single 9", well now 10" at the console so I can see over it. And as stated by someone else I sit on my throwable cushion when driving for a bit extra height. I'd love to find something that I can use to raise my seat up a few inches to help with the view, yes, I am short.

9 inch lowrance, flush mount console and on a stand at the front of the boat. Have to jump a bit to get out off the front of the boat, but seeing where I'm going is not a question .

I agree w an above post. Some of yall seem like an accident waiting to happen.

At my bow, I have 2 9s on a double stack mount, Ultrex 112, and a live scanner. My console has a 12 and a 16.

I can see just fine, BUUT im 6' 4" . If I were some of yall, id raise my seat up approximately 2 or more inches.

Looking through a slot between the TM shaft and whatever else, "to me" is not safe at all.

Triton 19 XS Elite, 225 Mercury Pro XS, Minn Kota Ultrex 112, Hydrowave H2, Twin 8' Power Pole Blades, Power Pole CHARGE, Lowrance HDS 12 and 16 at console, Lowrance HDS 9, Garmin LiveScope at bow, Mercmonitor, Rigid Industries Deck lights and other stuff to come that will make me go more broke

Do you also see a speed lost with the lighter batteries?

I raised my seat 1.5" and it made a big difference. Doesn't sound like much but now I don't have to crane my neck while driving n normal conditions. I made and put a pair of 1.5" by 3" HPDE spacers to mount between my seat and the slide system.

I've already had to take evasive action to keep from getting ran over by a BASS pro wanaabe. Ther is no way he could see what's directly in front of his boat even on plane.
PS - I'm not against FFS as I've had it for two years.
I'm surprised that BASS and MLF don't have stricter compliance to NMMA visibility requirements for their competitors' boats. You have to be pretty tall to see over a 16" display while under way. Some of those setups look nearly impossible to see over while running; and that is the most crucial time to have maximum visibility.
