    Looking for correct Epoxy.

Looking for the best epoxy to use over the thread over the eyelets of the rod. I had some but it now has gone bad.

I like Gen 4 rod epoxy after trying more than a few. They have a low build and high build. I’ve recently finished a rod using the high build and really liked it and will continue to use it. Good working time, crystal clear, and no bubbles.

I was a fan of threadmaster high build, but looks like it’s not available anymore so I switched over to Gen4

I like thread master lite for the first coat and regular for the second.

I like light/low build epoxy myself. I usually do 2 coats and have been getting better results than one single coat of high build.

Gen 4 low build is pretty good with bubbles and working time.

I also like threadmaster light too but prefer gen 4 low build.

They all work, but you need to find out what works best for you. They all have their idiosyncrasies. Remember what you see in the bottle isn't what it will look like on the rod where it is only a very thin coating. Only if you used white wraps or other very light colors would you ever notice it most times.

I tried 3 different brands of epoxy, and finally settled on Gen 4. Right now I use 2 coats of light, but my plan going forward is like above, with one low build coat, and high build for the second.
