Active Target 2 Fish Appear as thin vertical lines?

I was getting ready to order an active target 2 and I was looking at some videos online and couldn't find a lot of great ones. Do the fish really appear as just thin vertical lines? I was expecting them to look more like a fish or dot. Or is there some type of setting that you need to adjust maybe such as the aspect ratio? Just looking for advice ahead of time.

Mine look like fish, some more than others. Most you can make out at least the tail, or can tell where the tail is. Some may be roundish without the tail. Can't say that I have noticed them being a thin vertical line.

Size of the fish, distance from the boat, position in the transducer beam. Everything is a variable. Under the right conditions, I have seen tails, dorsal, and pectoral fins from both stripers and LMB. Every situation and user is different. I've seen a lot of time using mine and trying to fine tune.
