Do you think you have the skill level to be competitive in the Elites or BPT?

Not talking about if you had money, time or anything else. If you were able to fish on either current pro trail tommorrow do you think you have the skill level to cash checks and be competive? Just for simplicity we can add a with the current state using FFS and if FFS was not allowed.

I would get strummed either way. I occasionally still zero on a day of fishing. I can admit that. My answers are:

    With FFS-no
    Without FFS-no

Absolutely not, in both tours it's a different breed of fishing.

I have a hard enough time cashing checks let alone winning 10 boat club tourneys.

so it’s a no from me

Don’t sell yourself short Mark! My tournament partner who I also competed against for years just finished 36th in his elite series debut!

Just look at the weights they catch on community spots. Locals rarely if ever catch those weights on those spots. It's crazy.

Hell I'm not even good locally in my own opinion. I just stumble on to dumb fish that are willing to bite sometimes.

Not me. I'll say this however, there are some good fishermen on this board that could probably hang in there with them. But I bet there aren't a one of us that could play in MLB or the NBA, or just about any real sport.

If I was loaded and money was no problem = yes. I think I could. Imo, tourny fishing is just putting the time in to learn a said body of water. If u have a endless supply of money then it would be up to you to spend every freaking minute u had on the water- graphing, pre - fishing. That is what separates our local sticks from the local regular Joe's. The sticks usually have better jobs or free time to basically live on the water or be a guide on said body of water. The regular Joe's that all complain about never doing well - u never ever see them out except tourny day. Maybe I'm naive but I think with endless money, resources, and most importantly DRIVE, I think I could compete.

Never had that thought even in my best years of fishing as the Tournament Fishing Format wasn’t part of my mindset.

No I would not remotely consider making a fun hobby into a full time job and putting in the effort it would take to be competetive.
