    2-24 Anita report.

It was a cold morning to start. Truck said 17* brrr but it warmed fast after the sun got up. This is the first time on Anita this year, no ice, not boat docks yet either. Only caught bass on a jig and jerkbait. Jig was better for me. The water wasn’t super clean maybe 16-17” visibility, it did clean off a little as the wind blew. Water was 40* at the start but got to 43 by 2pm. I tried lots of baits but couldn’t get them to go. Hard to beat the jig. Only catching was in the camp ground arm that was were the warmer water was and all the bait. I did try lots of other spots in the lake but no luck.

Everything I caught was one or over a rock pile… nothing on brush or hard bottom. I tried to scope a few but I’m no good at that yet, I’m working on that seems to be the thing I need to try more if you watch the pro tournament seen.
