Currently have a Gen3 HDS9 and was wondering if there are any upgraded units of same 9" size out there that would work with the plug ins I have now for the current unit or if I would need to do a rewire? Thanks for any info.

Everything you now will plug into the newer units, you'll most likely need an adapter cable for the transducer though. I installed a Live replacing a Gen 2 Touch and the only thing needed was the adapter.

7 pin transducer to 9 pin unit if live or live pro. XDCRADAPTER 7-PINXDCRTO9-PINUNIT (russellmarineproducts.com) thats for a 2d transducer like a pd-wbl
