    Boat outfitters livewell lid

Has anybody installed the livewell lids by boat outfitters in their basscat? Curious the opinions on these. I had the vt2 vents and they make a difference. I like the clear lids to see in them without opening during tournaments. I have a 23 Eyra and it would hurt my feelings to cut those out but interested.

I don't have any experience with them, but the BassCat lids are designed so there's nothing for the fish to bump against and injure themselves. This product may not have any sharp edges, but I'm not sure I'd want it just for the sake of having a clear lid.

I don't have any experience with them so I may be off base, but I would think the direct sunlight into the live well water would increase the water temp leading to increased stress on the fish. I would leave the BCB live wells and lids as designed.

    • Blocks up to 50% of heat-causing radiation from the sun

50% or more of the heat-causing radiation from the sun is entering your live-well with these installed. I would leave the BCB live-wells and lids as designed.

With clear lids in Louisiana during the summer, I would throw seasoning in the livewell's. They are going to cook!!!
