    Transducer Help

Trying to determine best shoot thru hull transducer for reading depth / 2D when running on plane for the 126sv. Sales rep said i would need to purchase the Garmin P79. However, I've read lots of bad reviews regarding the P79. Does anyone know if there's a better alternative shoot thru hull transducer that'll work with the Ultra 126sv?
    Thanks!

Thanks. I'll give it a look. Will it need an adapter cable for 12 pin?

No.....assuming you only have 1 unit on console, you will need to get the transducer combo......GT8/GT36......GT8 for shoot thru and GT36 for imaging......no way around it unless you have two units then you could run the GT8 on one unit and GT56 on the other.......if you get the GT8/GT36 combo, it will come with a splitter cable that's plug and play.....

Its an Airmar which are some the best ones out there but its still wont work with the GT56......in the end its up to you but i think you would be fine with the GT8.....i have both GT8 and GT15 installed and stuck with the GT8.....

I'll echo what FC said. The GT8/GT36 combo is the way to go.
