    Quicksilver 3000 control

I have an old Bass Tracker powered with a 9.9 mercury 2 stroke. Controls are the Quicksilver 3000. Will this control work with a 2007 mercury 15hp 4 stroke? The guy selling it said it will work but I may need an adapter for the wiring connection? Thanks for any insight on this.

From the throttle and shift standpoint, it should work (assuming it's still in good condition and the cables aren't corroded, damaged or failing).

You likely will need an adapter for the electrical connection, though.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping that would be the case. Everything is in very good shape. Hopefully all I need is the electrical adapter.
