    Defective prop?

I currently have 3 props, a Tempest + 24, 25 and a Fury 24. I bought the 24 and 25 new in the box from mercury. The furry was what the dealer put on my boat when I bought it (which ran like crap).

The tempest 24 and furry spin freely. The 25 however, sounds like its scraping. I can hear metal on metal when i spin it by hand. It did this from day one.

Again all these props were new when bought. I went as far as having a prop shaft run out on my boat to maKe sure my prop shaft wasnt bent.

I never ran the 25 bc it sounds like its catching.

Do yall think the prop is out of round from the factory? I sure as heck dont want it to damage my expensive TM Lu.

Remove insert, turn it 90* clockwise and try again. Repeat until rubbing stops. This is common with tight tolerances.

You might also try just turning the prop 90* clockwise w/o moving the insert.
