Lol very true. Lol. I’m not much a drinker, but the ones my hippy grandson has brought during the holidays tasted like dirt and weeds.

I guess it cooled him off though while he was wearing his toboggan even though it was 90 degrees outside. lol.

Sierra Nevada Celebration is my favorite but seasonal. Deschutes fresh squeezed, bells two hearted, Lagunitas ipa, SN torpedo, DFH 60/90, and founders centennial are all excellent American ipas and pretty accessible nation wide. At one time I would’ve mentioned Stone but they’ve changed a lot. If you like a little funk, Belgian style ipas are worth exploring, couple easily found examples being Houblon Chouffe and Lagunitas Something Wild. Lots of other favorites come to mind, but availability is limited to certain areas

My tastes in ipa lean toward bitter/malty and I do not like the hazy/neipa style. They all taste the same to me.

fav is eddyline crankanker which is a small brewery in Buena Vista

nearly every beer Odell makes is amazing with the OG IPA being high.

Not sure I have a favorite..I like to try anything I haven't had before. Some standards I can always go to are anything from Sierra Nevada, Stone, Troegs, Bells, Dogfish, Flying Dog, Great Lakes, Erie...

The market is definitely saturated. There is so much out there, and most brands taste pretty much the same..

Fresh squeezed by Deschutes Brewery out of Oregon. Close 2nd would be the Lagunitas IPA

Hard to be a good stout but I like them in cooler weather.

I'm not a huge IPA fan but when I have one I like three floyds...either a Zombie dust or Gumball head.

Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA expensive but you only need one. Drink it out of a brandy snifter glass. Get your Buzz On.

I agree with whoever said the market is saturated with a lot of great tasting IPA varieties. I used to not like them, at all. Would only drink ales, porters, and stouts. But for the better part of 15yrs I can’t hardly stand how heavy those feel in my gut after 2 or more. If I’m drinking beer now, I much prefer IPAs over other styles. If it’s a BYOB event, my B of choice for the last few years is bourbon, neat or OTR. I feel tons better after cutting out carbonated beverages.

Treehouse for sure... but not widely available. I know it gets tons of love...but not that impressed with Heady Topper... Focal Banger from the Alchemist is better. Sierra Nevada is great and widely available. Stone is good too... ft

Any of the VooDoo’s are good. My favorite tends to change each month but my current favorite is Hopsecutioner. I can’t drink lite beer anymore after switching IPA’s. Like drinking water.
