Colchester or St. Albans Hotels for Access to Inland Sea?

Looking to hit Champlain in May with easy access to inland sea. I am eyeing up either Colchester or St. Albans City area. Any boat-friendly hotels? (Parking, no tweakers looking to rob me).

I usually stay on the NY side in Marine Village but don't want to be held back by weather, trying to cross from NY to VT as I have an aluminum boat--been there, done that! Any advice appreciated.

I dont know the hotels, but I’d look around exit 17 on 89, thats Milton. That puts you just a few min to the mallets bay launch, just a few min actoss the sand bar to the islands (several launches) and an easy few minutes up to st albans. That probably gives you the most options if you are ducking wind and looking for variety. Id go north before I went south from there.
It’s Vermont, the tweakers arent all that tweaky.
