It's not what you can take with you,

    It's what you leave behind.

Just toyed with SF until it mattered

Seriously neither team played well, that didn’t look like championship level football, sloppy play. SF outplayed them should have been up by 20, but they let KC hang around & it cost them.

Congrats to the Chiefs. Don’t know why SF didn’t run the ball more in the second half.

All that matters is I had SF (2) and KC (5) in the final in the $100 pool. Paying 40% for final score.
Hang on. I'll help you in 77 minutes.

SF defense got wore out. You also have to wonder if Greenlaw had not gotten injured if he might have been able to contain Mahomes and keep him from making those clutch runs he made.

First half they were all parcells with clock domination. The 3 three and outs to start the second half hurt badly. You cannot leave the door open for Mahommes. The last play of the game was a design confuse play. Let the clock roll and someone missed an assignment. Niners should have called a timeout and reset the defence. Then call a second if needed to reset again. That play was out of leftfield. They needed a freeze. Make KC double think the play also. That play niners brought a knife to a pistol match. The D had no options for it.

Overtime getting the ball first was a mistake. 3rd and 4 had a man wide open under the uprights. Choked.

Agreed. It all boiled down to who made the last mistake. Hats off to Mahommes. I said it when he first came on the scene. Expect more than one championship ring. Hes not done yet . The have built a defence also.

MVP should have been the guy that got his hand on the ball to block the point after. It would be easy to just phone that play in, since a very small % are ever touched. He gave it all on that play. If not, they would have lost.

    Stand corrected.

Not a rules fan but been around long enough to have seen all or part of every super bowl. What ever scheme the Niners had on the last drive will never be in the book titled how to stop Mahommes from winning an OT super Bowl. The Chiefs had their way with them on that drive. Ending the game with 2 TOs didnt serve them. Do something even if its wrong comes to mind. They had 3 chances to stop one play on the drive and win with on paper the best defence in the league.

They mentioned it. They said more than likely because the SF defense had been on the field for several minutes and by putting the offense out there it allowed the defense a breather.

How was SF getting the ball first a mistake? If KC had first possession, scored a TD, do they get to try for extra point(s) in OT?

If yes, and KC scores 7, SF would be forced to score a TD and extra point to tie. Either way, SF may have choked the same way and still lost.
