    Yep, thought so. Your first picture made it looked way overcooked but that was mostly because it was the tip.

    Those ends were the best IMO but I am definitely in favor of beeing more on the rare side than being cooked on the over done side.

    It can always be warmed up to the desired done-ness but you can't under-cook an over-cooked piece of meat to make it good again.
