    Trp lower

Has anyone installed a regular prop shaft and gears in a trp housing?
Gearshaft should at least be shortened..

I know what a Yamaha TRP lower unit is.

What are you wanting to accomplish? Convert the lower unit to the conventional configuration?

From looking at the Yamaha parts illustrations and comparing part numbers I am guessing that the innards of a vanilla 150 Yamaha two stroke lower unit will not work within a Yamaha DX150 lower unit.

I think so too. too bad because it has a water intake at the tip of the torpedo and It IS 2 1/2" shorter. I wish I could find a v4 inshore lower somewhere
