    Is this the norm now?

Looking at a local / national fishing show coming early next month. Its been a few years since I have attended one of these. Tickets are $30 BUCKS! Is this normal now or a national show think? Jimmy Houston is going to be there but not sure I want to donate to it.

I get a kick out of Jimmy, but I would not spend $30 to see him at a show.

I think the one here was $15, plus parking.

Gotta pay to play! Celebrities gotta get paid for their time. I have never been to a "free" boat/fishing show in my area...unless it's a BPS fishing classic and Roland was there.

I don't know of a fishing show worth paying to go to other then the classic expo. And of course that's free.

Only one I’d pay $30 for is the Classic.

Did you get any free stuff or great discounts? I could see spending money to enter, but in return I'd want some stuff or big discounts.

I believe I wlll go to the Classic Expo this year, as other have said, it is a great show and it's free.

It’s a pain having to pay an admission fee, but most likely the promoter had to rent the venue and that’s not cheap. Part of the venue rental cost is covered by charging vendors a fee to rent a booth. But, the promoter also hopes to make a profit.

No free stuff or at least none was offered to us. Having not gone to the “winter “ shows in 10 years or I did remember getting tons of mesh hats and can coozies.

The Toronto Sportsman Show in March will cost you $20.00 for an adult, its worth it just to get out of the house for the day !
