Thanks guys. I guess I'll probably rule out this weekend. It's supposed to blow a pretty good clip Saturday.

A friend was on Erie last Sunday, so it’s definitely open. They were fishing for walleye suspended 25 feet down in 40 feet of water. They said the water was fairly muddy and you had to hold the bait right in front of their nose to get a bite. Walleyes congregate around river mouths this time of year, but those places are going to have the dirtiest water, too.

Trolled for walleye on LSC today. The inland lakes are still covered.

Found some, but it was too late for me to get out this weekend. Thanks for the replies. I was looking inland this time.

I’m surprised at that I thought they were going to close Crocker once the ice was off.

On another site a guy said he hit a tree coming out of the launch. Apparently the DNR still needs to remove it. Anyone planning to use the launch may want to use their trolling motor to get in and out to avoid it.

We went to Halfmoon and the gate was locked! Ended up at Whitmore and it sucked there. Almost went to Kent, but time was limited.
