No. I haven't updated in 18 months. I like how it works now, so I am not going to change anything.

I wait a week, or so, to see how many, and type of problems users encounter. Then I make a decision to update, or wait. Especially, if I’m not experiencing any current issues.

So far i wish i'd kept the 20.00 & 2.58 software instead of updating to 27.10 & 2.74 because i can't get the imaging nearly as clear as the old software so far.

I do not unless I see that an update affects some feature I use. A lot of these updates do not change any feature important to me, and my units are working fine.

A lot of people like the “Garmin Guru” claim certain updates are better than others. Seems hard to believe Garmin would go backwards with the updates.

You can roll back to a previous version

I had one version I didn’t like as much a long time ago but it’s been great other than that. I’m going to do a little more tweaking to see if I can get it lined out. If not I’ll go back to the older version.

Exactky what I was wondering. Does this mean if we have it on an adult card that we can put the previous software back on it?

I was running the LVS32 and stuck with the last update prior to the release of the LVS34 (Don't know the number) because of all the people complaining and the videos I saw

But I went and got the LVS34 and had to update

Only had a couple trips to play with it before I put the boat away for the winter but I can say the perspective mode doesn't look anything like I had with the 32

I'm hoping I can dial it in more because its was butt ugly

I have 20.00 & 2.58 on an s d card & would like to go back to it. Is all I have to do is power the unit up
& stick the card in & go through the usual process like when normally updating to newer software? Thanks

No reason not to. Garmin isn’t sending out updates to make their products worse, just better. It’s nothing different than your computer, phone or even car.
