    How many have had a broken Hot Foot spring ?

    Had one break about 10 years ago while running on the St. Lawrence river. Since then I always cary a spare.

    Happened while running across the sound on a 03 Gambler I bought off a guy in 2013. It’ll get your attention for sure. If you buy used I’d have one in your list of items to carry on board. Or if you buy new and keep a boat a long time it probably makes sense to keep one on hand after a few years of use.

    Me too. My Hotfoot and boat are 8 years old now. Can't hurt to have a spare.

    Same with me. I'll bet the company that makes the springs is trying to figure out what the sudden run on springs is all about.

    No kidding, after reading the earlier thread I bought a spare and the original just broke on me. Scared the crap out of me at least I wasn’t loading the boat.

    I bought my Hotfoot in the 90s. I also bought a replacement spring from T-H Marine website in January 2024 (for spare).

    Had one break at a Stroker Rally on Watts Bar a few years ago, I had a spare and switched it out. I always keep a spare in the boat.
