There is a difference, no matter the brand. Been that way forever. I've got so much crap in the front of my 921 that it went from 75 to 71-72.

I hope to get on the water soon. We've been blown out by rains here in middle TN lately.

The amount of difference will be greatly dependent on the propeller you're running. Example, Fury will be MUCH more affected by weight in the nose over a Bravo 1. An odd pitch bravo 1 may perform better with weight toward the nose...etc

Apples to apples, 99% of the time, you will see a decrease in top end performance with increased weight at the nose. Hole shot may improve with weight toward the bow.

So basically you removed 60 pounds of "extra" weight and gained 3mph?

My boat is always loaded the same and different lake conditions can make a 3mph difference. Are you sure it was all weight? I lost about 2-3 mph when I replaced 2 G31 AGM's with 2 lithium's and added a Helix 12 and M360 to my 919.
