what graph setup are you running and why??

I'm just curious to what graph set up everyone prefers. i have a 106sv at console and 126 sv on bow. I'm thinking about adding a 93sv for mapping just not sure if it would be better suited for console or bow. What's your opinions?

    Thanks

2 93sv on the console is fine for me, up front I have been running a 106 SV but this year I am adding a 93sv to the bow for mapping and 2d so I can dedicate the 106sv just for livescope.

HDS 12 at console with maps, 2d, down and sidescan linked same 9 at bow. Garmin 1222 livescope on a separate battery at bow for looking around. Find the bait find the fish they say.

15 inch Hummingbird Solix at console for mapping and side imaging, double stacked on bow Garmin 8612 for live scope under that 12 inch Hummingbird Solix with mega 360. this unit communicates with console.
I side image to find structure that fish are on, then use the 360 to stay on them and get a closer look.. Garmin live scope plus LVS34 is mounted on trolling motor. I like this setup, so far seems to work for me, but I am still learning and have a long way to go but looking forward to this season.

126sv with LS and HD+ Sonar at the bow
106sv with GT-54 at the console
All the graphs I’ll ever need.

I have never had the need for a unit just for mapping. I have a Helix 12 at the console and a Helix 12 at the bow for M360 as well as a 126sv for LS.

Those three 12" screens are more than plenty for me.

You spilt that screen for 360 and mapping? These ol eyes have trouble seeing things that are too small. I’d be lost without my mapping.

It's pretty easy to switch screens. Way easier than another $1500-2500 unit. At least for me.

I have a 126 at console, and two 106's at the bow. Just replaced a 943xsv with a Ultra 2 106.......haven't had a chance to use the Ultra 2 yet but always had a the 106 for LS.....the 943 was for what ever which was mainly sonar......

On your situation, i would think the 93 would be better upfront.....you could then swap up between the two.....

I think only you can answer what's best for you. If you want my opinion I say both are important to me but if I had to choose only one place for mapping it would be at the console. Reason being is I fish lakes that have a winter draw down so navigation is crucial. I'm also a shallow water river rat so even at summer pool I rely on mapping for safe navigation. I can't fish if I can't get there safely is my thought. At the console I have sonar that I primarily use in side image mode when idling and trying to locate something. My other unit stays on full map but I have depth overlaid onto the display for when I running around on pad navigating areas. At the bow I have livescope and another unit on full map. I keep it zoomed in and have all my fishing way points marked on it. I use it to find marked fishing spots and following contours on the map. On the unit I use up front for mapping I have sonar turned off....I also have an Old School flasher at my console. If I'm running shallow water and I'm at a speed over 40-45 mph I still use my flasher. Reason being my regular sonar will often lose its reading around 40-45 mph. My flasher never loses it reading so I occasionally use it in very specific situations. It may not be often but I still use my flasher on occasions. So long story short in my situation mapping at the console is more important than at the bow.

    Bow - 106sv for livescope and a 106sv for mapping and 2d

I would rather have two smaller screens than one big one, especially while running livescope.

    helm - 106sv

im so new to this game that I’ve basically been raised tournament fishing with ffs. Therefore most of my pre fishing involves looking at maps and then simply using ffs to go fish what I think looks good. I don’t spend much time at all graphing.

Solix 12 at console. At the bow, Solix 15 for M-Live and Helix 12 for map/M360.

Carbon 12 at the console with 3n1 ducer on transom, Live 12 and HDS Gen 3 on the bow. Have a Gen 1 AT to install up front, had it since last spring just never got around to installing. Will replace the Gen 3 with a Carbon or Live. Also debating replacing the bow 9 with a Bird 360. Fish a lot of shallow grass and think the 360 would work well.

I’ve bounced all over the place. I’ve had dual 12’s, replaced those with a 16”, now have a 12” & 10”. I think a 12” for LS and a 9”/10” for mapping is pretty good. Problem I had with the 16”, was on split screen, the splits were reduced to nothing. Might have just been a Lowrance issue, not sure if garmin has the same problem.

I have a 106sv and a uhd2 93sv on the bow , a 106sv on console adding a uhd73sv for map and sidevu at console ; not enough room for another larger screen at console . 73 is small but about the same as splitting the 106 for sonar and sonar , and is cheap. bad latch but at console probably ok .
I had a uhd 93sv as second at bow , good choice for weight savings but didn't like the cradle latch afraid I`d have it bounce off . I switched to a uhd2 93sv , it weighs a little more but has a better latch and has a pixel per sq inch count nearer to the 106

I run only a Helix 10 at the console. I do it for best mapping possible and great side-scan. When I eventually replace it, I will go with 12” HB again or maybe a Garmin unit. I just do not like two units at the console. I could live with it but do not like the extra power and mount requirements.

At the bow, I have a 10” Helix and Mega360 linked to my Ultrex 112. Additionally I have a 106SV and LVS34 on the bow. My set up is minimal by some standards but I like it and never feel limited. My fishing ability limits me enough.

126 on the console and 2-106's on the bow; one for ls and one for mapping/2d etc.
