Best Suggestion for Keeping Hardware Tight

    Hey all,

Every year (a few times a year), there are a few screws that work their way loose in the fiberglass. What is everyone's best suggestion for keeping them from working their way out...it is not every screw, but there are a few regular offenders.

Was considering some epoxy or super glue on the threads, then snugging up and letting it cure. Also considered some clear marine sealant. I can't be the only guy w/ this issue....thoughts?

3M 4200 or Loctite (Serviceable) are the two I have used.
I'm sure others will be along with other methods.

I put Marine Goop on threads before I screw them in. Keeps them from becoming loose.

If the hole isn't stripped out, 3m 4200 fast cure, cut the tip small and force it into the hole before screwing it all back together. This can also help seal hole from water intrusion.

    Next size larger screw
    switch to rivets

I mounted a balzout mount next to my console. Used #10 stainless screws with a touch of 4200 on the threads. It's been solid for 3 years now.
