    Team talk podcast

Just listened to yesterday's Team Talk podcast. It was stated twice that Caymas boats were no more. Then it was retracted at the end when it was realized that a new XS model was released. Talk about not doing your homework!

Pros leave manufacturers every year, nothing new. Matt Robertson left Triton and is in a Phoenix, does that mean Triton is going out of business? Alton Jones was the biggest fan boy of Skeeter for years, been in a Ranger last few years. They going to go where the best deal is and Earl doesn’t give the Pros the best deal. Good friend of mine on one of the tours, his deal is no better than a team deal that I get.

That rumor was in the lounge several weeks ago and an announcement would be made by the end of the week. Still waiting on that announcement, same thing with Triton a few years ago and they still build them. Got to have the drama and rumor mill going all the time, damn shame the fishing industry has turned into the soap opera “as the reel turns”.

    Howdy,

”Team Talk” is entertaining in small doses, but anything more than that and you will OD on stupidity. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

    Take care,

Pretty misinformed, however, it sounded like he heard something about BoatWrX closing, and then translated that into Caymas being no more. That would be my guess. While most builders have had factory production slow down due to a lack of dealer orders (because of left over 2023s) most are chugging along just fine. Also not to forget, Caymas was saltwater first, then diversified into bass boats, from what I have heard, saltwater is doing great.
