Clear tube with some kind of black cup at the end of it on my ZXR20

I noticed in the front (closest to the bow) of my new ZXR20 a 3 to 4 inch clear plastic tube with some kind of black cup looking thing on the end of it. Looks like a faucet thing. What the heck is it and what does it do?

Sorry, I don't have a picture at this moment. I didn't provide a very good description either. When you open the middle compartment on the front deck, where you store all the plano boxes up in the very front toward the bow there is a small plastic tube coming into the box with a black what looks like a black upside down cup at the end of it. It's probably something from the factory that will be removed I just saw it and was wondering what it is. I can ask the dealer when I pick up the boat next week.

Not sure, sounds like a mold or something for the mini mega rod tubes there are installed in the center rod box

From your description it DOJ DS like a vent tube with a back flow preventer, or just a finish fitting so it isn’t an open tube. My neighbor has a ZXR.
I've got to go look when he gets home.

I believe you are talking about the drain for the seat pedestal. They have it hooked up to a drain line to direct water to the bilge so it doesn’t fill up your tackle storage with water when it rains.

The black cup portion is supposed to be slid onto the bottom of the seat base. If yours is just hanging there it needs to be slid back on.

Yes...I just checked mine, definitely a drain

Thanks! Simple things like this and one of the Skeeter cut outs on the trailer missing the plastic I hope are the only issues I have but they should have been caught before it left the factory or caught when delivered.
