    Ice Storm

Who else is dealing with ice right now. It has been going on here for quite some time. At least it is not doing much, so it is not getting real thick here.

they just ran a clip on the news out of OKC.. showed a vehicle on its side in a ditch,, other side of the road had an ambulance in the ditch that almost went over with a police car in the ditch right behind it.. the video then pans out and the news crew van is also in the ditch.. It's slick out there........

You can get around in just about any amount of snow, but ice is another story. Nothing you can do to stay on the road.

It was slick here this mourning with about 1/4" of ice. It's still raining but the ice is melting off everything.

I know I'm tired of driving on the chit!

    Going on 2.5 weeks.

Downtown Madison is like driving on a hockey rink.

yep, but you cannot get people to stop driving. Had one ice storm a couple years ago, everything was covered, highways were not drivable at all. They finally got fed up and announced first responders were no longer going to respond to calls for people who wrecked along the road. If you were dumb enough to go out and slide off you were there until things cleared up.

Just missed us. Have a little ice on the limbs, but nada enough to really impact anything.
Just be kind to one another. It really is that simple.

Would rather have 2 feet of snow than a quarter inch of ice. Stay safe and stay in.

When people don’t get paid, threatened with firing and have no option to work from home then they will drive. Not sure what you expect from a lot of people? Then when they don’t go in and call out they get labeled as lazy or unwilling to do whatever is necessary for their job. Lose lose situation.

It is mostly gone here now. Not supposed to go back below freezing tonight. If it does, repeat for tomorrow.

Had a fire truck slide down a hill in a subdivision near me. It was spinning around as it slid down the street, it took out a car and almost hit a house!

It’s been a long previous 6 days. Couldn’t go far as the roads were terrible. Last day of the leftovers was today. Good riddance to the ice.
