Rubber trim around livewell falling off

Does anyone have any tips on how to reinstall the rubber trim around the livewell opening? Mine keeps falling down and I am having a hard time to get it pressed back into place.

I just repaired several of my compartments with rubber contact cement. The kind you brush on both pieces and then, wait a few minutes and then push back on.

They tend to shrink over time. Ranger will sell you nice new soft trim edge by the foot if it’s not flexible any more. To just reattach, I used 3m black weatherstrip adhesive that I normally use on torn door seals and it worked well. Not permanent, slippery when wet, and easy enough to clean up later.

Apply silicone sealant inside trim and use heat gun to soften the plastic trim and then reinstall.

Mine did the same thing. I ordered some of the same trim from Amazon. It is a breeze to install and very inexpensive.

You can do a search for rubber trim on Amazon and it will take you to it. Other sites have it as well. It is very common because it is used for so many applications.

I see the product in your link, but the trim on my livewell does not have the seal portion as this product does.

I replaced all of mine with Trim-lok a couple of years ago. Good stuff.
