    Question Auto insurance rate increase?

What percentage did yours increase? Ours increased 26% with nothing being different from last year. Wondering if this is normal or is it time to shop. Thanks

Ours rarely has a big increase, just goes up a few dollars every couple months anymore.

Big increase for me but I've already had my rant post. Up 65% over the past two years.

    21% this year.

It seemed about average or normal to me but I consider my self lucky as we had a few claims this year that included totaling a 2023 car. I'm sure they'll catch up to it but for at least this next six months a premium increase was avoided.

We all love the creature comforts cars have these days and the new vehicles are super expensive to repair/replace with sensors and calibrations. They spread the spend

At one point Erie allowed you to lock in your auto rates. Our auto rates haven't raised since. Our house, umbrella, watercraft have. A few percent each year.

Progressive raised us about 25%. I'm now up to $450 per month on 2 cars that we use for a combined 20k miles per year. No claims, no tickets and a customer since 2008. I'm going to shop around.

450 for two cars?? That’s insane.

we pay $240 a month for two vehicles, pop up camper, house, boat, and umbrella coverage through state farm .. We have the best vehicle coverage they can reasonably offer us and our agent said there’s nothing she could add to make ours better for what we need.

19% overall (3 cars, 2 boats, home and umbrella ) but this follows several years of small increases and some decreases in auto as they aged.

Agent said two regional companies declared bankruptcy and 2 others are leaving the state. She said there were some 30% - 50% increases in other counties.

It's not just you, it's national increase across the board. From Motor & Fleet. The new year is poised to deliver another jolt to American drivers, as insurers are expected to raise auto insurance premiums by an average of 12.6%. According to ValuePenguin.com, a subsidiary of LendingTree, this projected hike is the steepest since 2018.Jan 10, 2024

We're all paying for the claims to keep EVs on the road.

My insurer says our rates are high because of uninsured motorists in North Carolina.

I pay $200/month for 3 vehicles. Don’t know if that’s good or bad, gotta have it so I try not to think about it because nothing I can do about it anyway.

Our home and auto policies are with State Farm, the house hasn't gone up much, but the cars are way up.. but we also added a 16 year old driver in 2023.. just her alone on a 13 year old car is $1k every 6 months. Total for 3 cars and 3 drivers (2 adults 1 teen) is about $410/month. The boat insurance hasn't gone up.
