    LOOKING FOR A WORM

A friend who passed away gave me some plastic worms. I think he said they were made in Florida. They were in various lengths. They have a rib full length of the bait with a slightly bulbous center biggest was 8" I believe. Sure would like to get some. Thanks

Look at the Gambler Weebo or Sweebo. If not, maybe the Grande Bass Rattlesnake worm?

There is a plastics company named Bitters Baits in Longwood, Florida. They make worms and about a billion plastics. You said it was made in Florida. If you call them and email a picture or something.....if they did not nake it themselves, I bet they csn tell you who did if you get ahold of the right person. They have been in business a long time.

Also, if anyone here is ever in the area of Longwood, I would recommend a stop there...LOL... You have never seen anything like the number of plastics they have. I go up about once a year and stock up on some stuff. Their plastics are very good....very good.

Sounds like the old Producto 8” Tournament worm (use to be called Jake’s Producers, then Producto, and now Bodacious).

It was the go to bait in Florida in the 70’s and 80’s but they changed the mold and made the 8” too skinny. Use to use a 5/0 hook with the old ones but needed to go to a 4/0 with newer ones. The skinnier worm did not fish well in grass and reeds. I no longer use them except occasionally on a c-rig. Florida lost a classic bait when the old mold disappeared.

Then 6” Tournament Worms is still an excellent worm with its thicker head and I still use them.
