    250 SHO Oil Capacity

Changing the oil in my 250 SHO and it calls for 7.08 quarts but after 6 quarts the dipstick is showing right at halfway between the two holes. And I changed the filter. Should I go ahead with the 7th quart?

Make sure your motor is level when checking. Use a carpenter’s level on the cavitation plate. When I change mine it usually take a little over 6.5 quarts

She’s level. I might not have got all the old oil out because I didn’t trim it up and down when I removed the existing oil.

Also might make a slight difference if you pumped it out of dipstick tube or removed the lower plastic to access the drain plug.
