Best way to ship a rod

Hey guys I have been going through my stuff and trying to clean stuff out. When I checked on shipping a rod about a month ago it was $65? For you guys that are selling stuff does that sound about right??

Use Pirateship.com !! Create the label, and measure/cut the tube down to the exact length. Bringing a rod tube to ups, fedex or post office to ship is outrageous. I’ve been using it for years now and love it. Gives you the cheapest option, or can filter to fastest shipping. Much cheaper and efficient to me.

Put it in a Steel Tube, so the carriers can't destroy it.

don't know where you are in Tennessee, but I have several of the heavy-duty rod shipping tubes that TW uses.

Not even close in my experience. Go get some pvc and cut to the exact size of rod. Nothing too big around either. USPS. Always been around $20 for me

the best way to ship a rod is to be careful with it put it in your truck or car an deliver it or take your chances with shipping roulette even with putting it in pvc its still a gamble.

Have sold and shipped a lot of rods. Never an issue reusing a rod tube from TW or using PVC. Prepaid labels from USPS $30-$35

Just break the rod in half and throw it in a tube. This eliminates the middle man.
